چکیده
Production of high quality product gas via biomass steam gasification is a promising technology. However, impurities in the gas, namely tars, cause problems downstream processing operations and thus they need to be removed efficiently. Oil scrubbing an effective solution for tar removal due its non-polar characteristic which similar nature. In this research, solubility values five simulated compounds were experimentally investigated selecting new solvent. The represent those found dual fluidized bed wood biomass, are: naphthalene, biphenyl, anthracene, fluoranthene, pyrene. solvents tested research are classified into biodiesels, vegetable oils, diesel. Biodiesel used rapeseed methyl ester (RME) 2 different palm esters (denoted as PME1 PME2). Vegetable oils sunflower oil, refined Thai rice bran crude oil. All tests performed laboratory-scale test-rig at 30, 50, 70, 80°C. Biodiesels solvent dissolving compounds. shows performance RME but more readily available; therefore, chosen Thailand 1 MWel prototype DFB gasifier Nong Bua district Nakhon Sawan province, Thailand.

Biomass Gasification in an Air-Blown Down-Draft Gasifier: Determination of Tar Compounds from Producer Gas
The existence of tar compounds in producer gas is one of the major problems found in biomass gasification; these compounds need to be removed before the producer gas can be used. In order to predict the need for producer gas cleaning for catalytic conversion into traffic fuels and chemicals, the gas has to be accurately characterised and defined. In this study, tar compounds from producer gas o...

This paper presents a comparison of commercial fluidized bed gasifiers and combustors used to recover energy from municipal solid wastes and biomass. The work reported here is excerpted from four case studies prepared for the International Energy Agency’s Bioenergy Agreement, under Task 23 (Energy from Thermal Conversion of MSW and RDF, 1998-2000) and Task 36 (Energy from Integrated Solid Waste...
متن کاملSimulation of Biomass Gasification in Fluidized Bed Using Aspen Plus
Gasification is a thermo-chemical process to convert carbon-based compounds such as biomass and coal into a gaseous fuel. Among the various types of gasification methods, fluidized bed gasification is one which is considered as more efficient method than others as biomass is fluidized in a mixture of air/oxygen and steam. In the present study, a comprehensive steady state process model has been...
متن کاملBiomass Gasification in Fluidized Bed Gasifiers Modeling and Simulation
Using woody biomass as a resource for production of biofuel, heat and power through gasification has been studied for years. In order to reduce the cost of operating and to design the full-scale gasification plant developing a general model to be applicable for different ranges of input data with acceptable level of accuracy, is needed. In order to develop such model for the gasifier, as the ma...
